As a coach, I understand that being a mentor to young athletes is an incredible privilege. I’ve seen the impact that sports can have on a child’s development and self-esteem, and that’s why my passion for coaching has only grown stronger over the years. My approach focuses on developing each player's skills and abilities while nurturing the importance of teamwork. I have been lucky to work with some fantastic associations, coaches and players over the years and looking forward to sharing lessons I've learned to help others.
My Story
I grew up playing games on the street until the street lights came on in Newmarket, Ontario, where I was fortunate to experience top-notch baseball and hockey programs. These experiences fostered lifelong friendships, a deep love for sports, and invaluable life lessons.

My passion for sports continued through high school and university, leading me to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. While studying in Thunder Bay, I immersed myself in a wide range of sports, igniting my coaching journey in 1998 through the NCCP program.

Returning to Newmarket in 2002, I reconnected with one of my most influential hockey coaches, who gave me and a friend the opportunity to coach the York Simcoe Express Midget team. From that moment, coaching became my calling.

After working in the GTHL, I settled in Bradford, where my daughters developed a passion for the game. Now based in the OWHA center in Barrie, my dreams of making the NHL may have faded, but my dedication to coaching and player development remains steadfast.

These stories are my way of expanding my network, connecting with new people, and hopefully making a positive impact along the way.
